Introducing,The Luna Therapeutic Toolkit (LTT)

The Luna Therapeutic Toolkit (LTT) is designed to offer a range of basic tasks or exercises that any individual can adapt to meet their needs, from the comfort of wherever they find themselves. Whether it is an end of day ritual at home for muscle recovery, a lunch time maintenance moment at work for injury prevention and stress relief, or a Saturday morning decompression routine at the park, this toolkit can be taken everywhere. Not every exercise will be everyone’s favorite. The LTT is designed for participants to pick and choose their tools and they can use different tools in different situations depending on their needs that day.

I developed LTT as a means of self preservation. My body would not be what it is today, without the accumulation of various exercises, practices and prevention work, keeping me connected to my body and facilitating ease of movement. For years, I have been using these techniques on my own, within my day to day life. Now, I have laid out these strategies so that I may share them with my clients and anyone who wants to take care of their body.

The LTT consists of four cornerstone principles that can be applied with props or without, again, depending on the needs of the individual. These cornerstone principles draw from dance, ballet, Pilates, yoga, massage, barre, sport, and Physiotherapy training methods. The LTT is designed to work with and enhance existing training programmes and methods, not against. The four cornerstone principles are not taught in isolation of each other but rather are integrated throughout, and brought attention to, where appropriate. Working with the four elements is to be cyclical rather than linear. Meaning, the class will start and finish with rest. Each segment of the class will incorporate both massage and mobility, both support and rest elements, or a little of all four all at once.

The four cornerstone principles are Can I Rest It? Can I Massage It? Can I Mobilize it? Can I Support It? These questions are reflective for the participant and not for me, the teacher, to answer. LTT provides potential options to explore each aspect, in the aim of finding overall ease of movement and longevity in health.
